A prominent investment banker and stock broker, Mr. Kayan is the promoter director of C. Mackertich and SMIFS Capital Markets Ltd group. Mr. Kayan brings to the board his sharp finance and investment skills and has been one of the instrumental figures behind Globsyn’s growth story.

After studying Law from Calcutta University, Mr. Poddar was enlisted as an Advocate with Calcutta High Court in 1975. He joined the Govt. of West Bengal in the Finance Dept. in 1977 on a special assignment and was attached to the Finance Minister and continued till 1982. In 1982, Mr. Poddar joined Indian Research Institute as an Executive Director and continued for one year up to June 1983, again joining the State Government in the Finance Dept. on a Special Assignment attached to the Finance Minister. From 1987 onwards he continued to be engaged with the State Government as Special Assistant to the Chief Minister till July 1996. Since 1996 he has been working as an Advisor to the "Peerless".

Mrs. Dasgupta brings to the Board her sharp insights on the people front. An avid contributor to the growth story of Globsyn she has been associated as a Director with several companies, for the last 10 years, and has played a vital role in their management.

Prof. Bhattacharya is a Metallurgist by profession and an MBA from Cranfield Business School, UK. Prof. Bhattacharya has also completed a program on “Strategic Thinking and Management” from Wharton Business School, U.S.

Prof. Bhattacharya has been teaching Marketing, Industrial Marketing, Marketing of services, Strategic Marketing, Strategic Management and other topics as visiting Professor in many renowned business schools. He has been a visiting professor at IIM-Calcutta for about 20 years. He has conducted more than 30 Management Development Programs and has published and presented a number of papers in India and abroad. He has first hand experience in Strategic Alliances, Brand Building in Industrial Markets, Corporate Marketing, Relationship Marketing, Loyalty Building etc.

An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, Mr. Bikram Dasgupta is an entrepreneur of repute – a man with a vision. An innovator, thinker and a passionate speaker, Bikram was among the core group of professionals who joined HCL in its infancy and his contributions, as one of the key Market Development Managers, have gone a long way in establishing the market presence that HCL commands today.

A passionate, out-of-the-box thinker, who strongly believes in 'ordinary people can do extraordinary things…' he foresaw the need for a business model built around the fundamental concepts of Infrastructure and Institution to service the knowledge economy and in 1997 conceptualized Globsyn as a group of companies, which embodied that vision.

Today under Mr. Dasgupta's tutelage, Globsyn has developed key competencies in each of the verticals that it operates in.
